NETWORK@LFF Applications are now open!

Join us for our flagship Talent Development Programme in partnership with BFI London Film Festival

25 July 2019

NETWORK@LFF 2019 is an internationally focused professional development programme at the very heart of the BFI London Film Festival, delivered by BFI NETWORK.

We’re partnering up with LFF to offer up to 12 UK-based writers, directors and producers a unique opportunity to join us for an intensive programme of masterclasses, screenings, events and one to ones with industry professionals.

Participants will get the exclusive opportunity to interact with leading international filmmakers and industry executives lifted straight from the BFI London Film Festival programme. They’ll also receive accreditation for the duration of LFF.

This year, we’re looking for filmmakers telling stories with global ambitions; stories that can be culturally specific whilst resonating internationally. We’re interested in themes that transcend language barriers and ideas that expand minds and amplify new voices. We’re seeking filmmakers working on international co-productions, looking to build cross-cultural relationships or with a commitment to making films that travel to audiences beyond the UK.

It’s Andrea Arnold focusing her dreamlike, gritty style on the Midwest in American Honey, it’s Robin Campillo’s 120 BPM using 1990s Parisian activism to reinvigorate the fight for equality everywhere and it’s Rungano Nyoni bringing Zambian witch camps to our screens with pinpoint satire in I Am Not A Witch. It’s filmmakers pushing past border lines and boundaries of form to create something new or present startling viewpoints. We think film has the power to change the world, are you with us?

Applications will close at midnight on August 19th 2019. No applications will be considered after this time.
